King Bee Day

My husband coined me the “Queen Bee” after my mother came to live with us in 2004. Before that, I was affectionately known as the “Princess.” Forward ahead to 2009…on this Father’s Day, “we” (our son, Lucas, and my mother and me) are treating him to a case of some of his favorite wines in honor of the amazing dad, husband, and son-in-law he is. One of his most endearing traits is to walk through the door every weeknight with a smile on his face, and a cheery hello. Then he grabs the newspaper, a glass of wine, and a seat in his big leather recliner and turns on the TV news – every night, just like clockwork.
The thing about “our” father is, he is loyal; he is trustworthy; he is funny; he is a complete geek; he is charming; he is always on time; he works hard; he plays hard; and he loves us. So, we officially declare today as “King Bee Day” – enjoy, Babe – you deserve every last drop!
